About Me.
Over the last two decades I’ve held a number of executive and non-executive leadership roles for organisations including Oxfam, the Sustainable Development Commission and Sustrans. I'm a senior consultant at Deryn Consulting, board member of Trivallis - one of Wales’ largest housing associations, and a trustee of Living Streets. In 2022, I was appointed as a commissioner on the National Infrastructure Commission for Wales, where my job is to provide policy advice and challenge to the Welsh Government on the nation’s long-term infrastructure needs.

Over the years I’ve worked alongside some great people and played a key role in delivering social and environmental change.

-
At Sustrans I helped win additional investment in green transport infrastructure (Wales and UK), key road safety changes (Wales), and the cancellation of a damaging motorway scheme through the Gwent Levels.
-
At the Electoral Reform Society I secured political support for key changes including votes at 16 and the creation of a Welsh Youth Parliament. I pushed for action on diversity in public life, as well as voting reform for local government, devolution of powers to Wales, and the case for a larger Senedd/Welsh Parliament.
-
At the Sustainable Development Commission, I worked with ministers and others to lay the foundations for the Well-being of Future Generations Act in Wales. I lead engagement work to ease the introduction of the single-use bags levy.
-
I also lead the successful campaign for Wales’ first carbon reduction targets, supported the creation of the Wales for Africa programme and campaigned for Wales to become the world’s first fair trade nation.
